CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
A.BACKGROUND
Both teacher or lecturer would give their best for the students ,they try as hard as they can to teach students in order to make student gets high achievement.Teacher and lecturer are the successful key of anyone,they teach us how to know word by word,how to read well,how to develope ideas,how to deciding something,etc.Without teacher or lecturer the world would be nothing because there is no knowledge supplyers.Even every human could develope their thinking by themselves but they still need an educators to lead them to the real directions.In conclussion both teacher or lecturer are most important,they play an important role in learning process.What about this question,”How could teacher/lecturer manage their ability or time for teaching the students?” Strategy, technique,method,and classroom activity must be the answer.They determine the successful teaching, teacher should be play their own portion to makes the students feeling great and know more about lesson especially in English.Strategy,technique,method,and classroom activity would play an important role when you are teaching.Without them your teaching style would be unmeaning and terrible.
A good teacher has many ways to makes their teaching accepted by most students.At this point teacher must clever to arrange what the students needs and expects.Each students has different ability,different interest,and different personality.What the teachers should do is to make them balance among each students.Balance means even each student doesn’t has same ability,interest,and personality a good teacher should make them have same interest while learning English,the student needs to develope their ability in English naturally.Thats why teacher/lecturer must clever to determine what their student needs/expects.The teacher should motivate the sudent in order to makes them run after with others student.It helps teaching-learning process become active and efficient.

2. To know more how the ways that teacher/lecturer usually does to manage the classroom.

B. INTERVIEW REPORT OF STRATEGY,METHOD,TECHNIQUE TEACHING,and CLASSROOM ACTIVITY
As a candidate of teacher we need to know excatly some teaching strategies,methods,techniques,and what kind of activities that we should do when we are teaching students.Among of them must balance each other so that we could get the best way to teach student easier.
The Strategy of teachers is always variety,in generally some teachers prefer apply strategy that may appropriate to the class condition.Methods,techniques, and classroom activity also determine the successful of teaching.
As a candidate of teacher I did obsarvation and interview to a teacher and a lecturer,the topic of interview is about strategy,method, technique,and classroom activity that they usually apply in teaching process.I also take conclussion based on some questions that I gave to them.Between informants gave different outcomes about how the way that they usually use when teaching.It prooves that even they are in same level as an educator but the way thet they use may different each other and just make it apropriates to student situaton.
I. FIRST INFORMANT
The first informant is Jumatul Hidayah,she is one of lecturer at STAIN Curup.Ms.Jumatul teaches listening IV.She is taller than me,Ms.Jumatul is around 160 cm.She is very well,friendly,and pleasure.
I came to Ms.Jumatul’s house on April 20 at 01.00 p.m.She was really welcome to me,then I begun interview her about the topic.As a listening lecturer she has many ways how to teach her students to hearing conversation in English clearly.When I did interview with her,she gave some tips about it.She proposed me to practice,practice,and practice because when we are practice well it means that we are going to understand well about what we have practiced.
Ms.Jumatul usually has presentation with the students about the topic that she is going to teach to the students,the presentation is about what the students known about the material.Before the students doing presentation they have known early about the topic.Then discussion also be the methods that she usually use in teaching,discussion makes students more carefully and respectfully to the material.Ms.Jumatul always common the students to read the passage early then they must make a conclussion about it,it helps students to more understand when the teacher teach them.
II.SECOND INFORMANT
Second informant is Ade Riska Juliarti,she is vocational high school teacher.She teaches English at SMKS 5 Pembangunan Curup.
I did interview with her on April 24 at 09.00 a.m.She shared me a lot of things about strategy,methods,technique,and classroom activities.
When she is teaching students she using Silent way as a methods.For her this methods is efficient to makes the students talk more about what they have known about something which is discussion.However,she doesn’t using this methods to all the class,she adjust this methods for some classes that has high ability.Silent way methods means that the student is dominates to talk in class,teacher is talk too but just a little bit.Silent way helps student to develope their ideas clearly.Mrs.Ade also having games with student when theaching,it helps student to develope their interest in English.Games also being the key for her teaching style.Games usually about ordinal/cardinal number.When the students read the passage Mrs.Ade establish them to have good pronounciation,she doesn’t force students to talk as native but minimal the students must approach as native.
She gives student a passage then she read first.After that she would ask student to read it again.When the students got mistakes in pronounciation,she would read it in second time in order to student take conclussion about what they have mistakes in.The strategy that she uses to teach students especially for material reservation and confirmation is acting.For example when Mrs.Ade teaches student about reservation she would ask some students to having act as hotel manager,receptioner,and client.Then students would acting and having conversation about that.Teacher give them text then students read it carefully such as they are real manager,receptioner,and client.The discourse is dominte when she teaches English,this method could bring student to their interest.Teachers do discourse about the material then she lets student asking and solving the question that relate to it.Mrs.Ade always approach her students like a friend,she wants student feel comfort when learning English not only because they like English but also because they like teacher’s style.When teacher and student are aproach each other it helps students to share and asking about material without doubt because the students feeling comfort.This approach is quite hard because each students has different personality,but day by day this approach will apply and teacher must develope it immadiately.

A. CONCLUSSION
Based on interview that I did to a teacher and lecturer,technique,method,and teaching strategy is variety.They usually develope it appropriate to situation of the class,if the class dominate high ability in English the teacher usually does silent way because it developes students mind free.Then when the class is dominate low ability,its better for teacher to apply discourse method because for that students will listen a lot about what teacher explain then students could make a note about it.Key of listening well is practice,we must often listen a lot.Listening music or wathcing movies in Englis may be an efficient way that we could use in order to make us listen clearly.We need to make it usual to hear some conversation in English also.We could download the data from intenet or we could find it at bookstore.
The differences the way of teaching between teacher and lecturer is very different,usually teacher teach students carefully,patience,and teacher bring student step by step to the hill of material.But for lecturer they just explain about the material to the students then when student doesn’t get it they could asking the lecturer.No establish student to know exactly the material,the student is mature so the lecturer teaches them as mature too.But the similarities are both teacher and lecturer usually ask student to read the material first before teacher/lesturer teach in order to make students easier to understand the material.Games would be choice to teach student well,besause student needs refresh their mind.As we know English is not a lesson that all students would like it.So it depends from teacher’s teaching style,teacher/lecturer must bring students to the situation that they would interest in English.Strategy,methods,and technique of teaching is appropriate to the situation of class,some teachers prefer using silent way methods but others prefer discourse methods.Games and having acting could be choice for classroom activity,students also need to read passage clearly and have good pronounciation in it.
